Councilmember __ introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-02-X3LX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 03~20 <br /> NW SANITARY SEWER AND WATERMAIN EXTENSION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project #03-20, NW <br />Sanitary Sewer and Watermain Extension, bids were received and tabulated according to law; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the bids that were received: <br /> <br />Bidder <br />LaTour Construction <br />Arcon Construction <br />Barbarossa & Sons, Inc. <br />Northdale Construction <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br />$6,693,820.17 <br />$7,515,697.97 <br />$7,761,879.18 <br />$10,715,102.37 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that LaTour Construction is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br /> contract with LaTour Construction in the name of the City of Ramsey for the <br /> construction of Improvement Project #03-20 in the amount of $6,693,820.17. <br /> <br />2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to ail bidders <br /> the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br /> next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-02-XXX <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />-199- <br /> <br /> <br />
