STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT
The present drainage system appears to be functional with the exception of
the need for culverts at the intersections of Driscoll St. N.W. and 173rd and
176th Avenues N.W. as shown on Exhibit A. Therefore the proposed improvements
consist of ditch cleaning, adjusting and cleaning of the existing culverts and
i s
construction of two additional culverts.
Some existing driveways presently do not have driveway culverts. While not all
driveways would need a driveway culvert, those lots which presently may cause
potential flooding problems should be required to install driveway culverts.
This work is proposed to be done by the owner of the affected property.
COSTS
Estimated costs and estimated quantities are provided below for the proposed
improvements.
ESTIMATED COSTS
r
V
Item
Estimated Quantity
Estimated Cost
Bituminous Surfacing 2,500 Tons
Class V Gravel 4,300 Tons
Grading & Channel Cleaning Lump Sum
Culvert Cleaning & Culvert
Installation Lump Sum
Estimated Construction Cost
Contingencies, Engineering, & Administrative
ESTIMATED PROJECT COST
$ 58,800
21,500
15,000
3.000
$ 98,300
24.575
$122,875
FINANCING AND ASSESSMENTS
In accordance with the City of Ramsey's current street assessment policy, the
r
Rev. 7/16/81
3
