require construction of a drainage outlet to the Mississippi River as shown in
the Comprehensive Storm Drainage Plan for the City of Ramsey.
It is not anticipated that the drainage will create any major problems with only
occasional flooding of the low areas occurring during heavy rains and during snow
melt prior to the disappearance of frost in the spring. Therefore, ditch cleaning
in some areas would be proposed at this time. It is also proposed to obtain
drainage easements over the ponding areas as shown on Exhibit A.
Some existing driveways presently do not have driveway culverts. While not all
driveways would need a driveway culvert, those lots which presently may cause
potential flooding problems should be required to install driveway culverts.
This work is proposed to be done by the owner of the affected property, with the
exception of those areas where ditch lowering or drainage patterns are changed.
COSTS
Estimated costs and estimated quantities are provided below for the proposed
improvements.
•
Item
Bituminous Surfacing
Class V Gravel
Shaping and Widening
Channel Cleaning
ESTIMATED COSTS
Estimated Quanti
Estimated tee t
$17,600
6,300
3,400
500
$27,800
8,500
$36,300
Rev. 7/16/81
3
750 Tons
1,250 Tons
Lump Sum
Lump Sum
Estimated Construction Cost
Contingencies, Engineering, Administrative & Easements
ESTIMATED PROJECT COST
