Regarding the Audit Report, an audit report meeting is not <br />necessary as the report is very good and self explanatory <br />by council consent. <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg <br />to send state auditor 1980 copy of the audit and also <br />financial statement for 1980 in Anoka Union. <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilwoman Van <br />Wagner, Councilman Reimann, Councilman Cox and Councilman <br />Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />Case #4: ELECTION COSTS AND OTHER RELATED.ANCILLARY COSTS IN <br />REGARDS TO THE PARK BOND ISSUE <br />Councilman Cox stated the issue cost a considerable amount . <br />the outcome. Councilman Reimann stated next time research <br />should be improved and hold hearings for true readings before <br />we go ahead with a project.of this size. Councilman Cox stated <br />the City should now review the park.budget and find out to <br />what degree and when we can take from the budget to utilize <br />funds to improve the parks <br />Dennis Donovan from the Park Commission thanked the City Council <br />for coverage to present to the public in the form of the nicely <br />prepared-brochure and stated Springsted and Mr. Goodrich <br />were well organized and the.public hearing went well. He <br />felt:the city did an excellent job in conducting this project. <br />Mr. Donovan asked the city what could now be done to.improve <br />the parks.. <br />Mayor Gamec-asked the Council how..they should.proceed. <br />Councilman..Cox stated the fabrication of need by the Park <br />Board for the bond issue was not necessary. The City Council <br />should decide by voting by accountability .in.representative <br />government. <br />Dennis.Donovan stated he takes .with. fabrication and <br />is in favor of representative government. <br />John Lichter stated.how.do we determine the outcome.before. <br />a vote is taken. <br />Councilman Cox stated we should know if there is an interest <br />in the community.
