Schnelle, City Administrator City of Ramsey 15153 Nowthen Blvd. NW Anoka, MN 55303 Dear Mr. Schnelle: Pursuant to the procedures established in the Metropolitan Land Planning Act of 1976, Hennepin County has submitted the Hennepin County Comprehensive Plan to the Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities Area on June 26, 1981. As explained in the Plan, the Park and Open Space element is being prepared by the Hennepin County Park Reserve District. The District will complete the Park and Open Space element as a separate document and submit it for appropriate review. You weresent a discussion draft of the Transportation and Solid Waste elements on May 8, 1980, and the Housing element on December 4, 1980. A number of responses to these draft elements have been received over the past eight months. Most of these responses acknowledged receipt of the elements and /or indicated that the element(s) were consistent with the comprehensive .plans developed by the responding jurisdictions. The County Comprehensive Plan submitted to the Metropolitan Council for review does not include any substantive policy changes in the elements which you previously received. Various minor or technical amendments were made on the basis of internal reviews and the comments of adjacent jurisdictions. Because no substantive changes based on review comments have been incorpor- ated into the County Comprehensive Plan, and because the cost of plan printing and distribution and time required for additional local review are considerable, we will not be routinely redistributing the Plan to all adjacent jurisdictions. Copies will be made available, however, for local officials, staff and residents who would like copies .of the Plan as submitted to the Metropolitan Council.
