TO: Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />FROM: City Administrator <br />SUBJ: Staff Report for July 1981 <br />1) Gilbertson and Guy problem - Councilman Cox x and d i d B eet on <br />with Mr. Guy in regards to the parking of <br />his lot and the effect it has on Mr. Gilbertson's off -sale <br />liquor store. Mr. Guy stated to us that he had moved several <br />of his semi trailers and was confident that he had cooperated <br />on this matter. Councilman Cox discussed it with Mr. Guy and <br />asked him if he would mind meeting with Gilbertson. He stated <br />that he didn't have the time and he was very busy. We did go <br />over to see Gilbertson, but he had just left. <br />Frankly, I don't think there is much more that we can do on <br />this issue unless we crack down our total zoning bit. <br />2) Skunks - This has become a rather serious problem throughout <br />the State. We have been involved with it here and our police <br />department is doing a fine job handling it. <br />3) Municipal and Population Designation Sign - We will soon have <br />our City designation signs as we have contacted the State of <br />Minnesota and they have informed us that they are now in the <br />process of getting that accomplished. The City will have to <br />install the County Road #5 sign. Soon people in the State of <br />Minnesota will know that there is a City of Ramsey and where <br />it is located at in the Metro area. <br />S 4) Finance - The following is submitted in regards to this area: <br />a) 1981 Budget Over and Under Budget Adjustment: This <br />is the semi annual budget adjustment that the City <br />will make on the 1981 budget. It will be going to <br />the Council Budget Committee for their review and <br />action on July 29, 1981. Then it will be coming to <br />the City Council for your approval. <br />b) The 1982 City Budget: The City is working on this <br />and as soon as the budget adjustments are completed <br />and adopted by the Council, this document will be <br />coming right behind it. <br />5) Comprehensive Plan - We are working to get this document before <br />Council in August 1981. I might add that I will be awfully <br />glad to get this out of my hair. <br />
