PARK AND RECREATION C0~MISSION <br />November 20, 1980 <br /> <br />Members Present: Dennis Donovan, Janice Johnson, Don Lokker, John Lichter <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:04 <br /> <br />A sketch plan for seven lots zoned industrial consisting of 21 acres was <br />presented by Mr. Menkveld. The area is bounded on the east by Armstrong <br />Blvd., the north by 147th Avenue N.W. and the southwest by Highway #10 and <br />the Burlington Northern Railroad. <br /> <br />On a motion by Johnson, seconded by Lokker, it was reconmended that the <br />City accept funds in lieu of park land. This motion was approved unanimously. <br /> <br />It was noted that the minutes of the last meeting were not yet available. <br /> <br />Dennis Donovan met with Ron Alwin of Consulting Engineers Diversified, Inc. <br />to finalize the Central Park cost estimate. The plan will be presented to <br />the Council at their November 25, 1980 meeting. <br /> <br />The ¥ickers property sketch plan which is on the border of Elk River was <br />reviewed.
