COARD COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />Anoka County, Minnesota <br />DATE 10/14/80 RESOLUTIONNO 80 -104 <br />OFFERED BY COMMISSIONER <br />Johnson <br />AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF TECHNICAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />APPOINTED BY CITIES AND TOWNSHIPS WITHIN ANOKA COUNTY <br />REGARDING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act, <br />1974, as amended, provides for a program of community development block <br />grants; and, ' <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County qualifies under said law as an "urban County" <br />eligible to receive community development block grant funds; and, <br />WHEREAS, in September of 1980, the Anoka County Board of Commissioners <br />authorized the execution of joint powers agreements between the County: <br />of Anoka and cities /townships within Anoka County regarding the Community <br />Development Block Grant Program; and, <br />WHEREAS, the County's population, among other factors, is the <br />determinant of eligibility of the County as the amount of resources <br />which may be made available to the County to undertake activities under <br />the aforementioned law; and, <br />WHEREAS, Part 570, Chapter 5 of Title XXIV of the Code of Federal <br />Regulations sets forth regulations covering the acceptability and use of <br />funds under Title I; and, <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County desires input from each city and township - <br />within Anoka County in the form of a Technical Advisory Committee to <br />insure the efficiency and effectiveness of the Community Development <br />Block Grant Program process: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Anoka County Board of Commissioners <br />that each city and township within Anoka County is hereby requested to <br />appoint a staff representative to serve the Community Development Block <br />Grant Technical Advisory Committee. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED'that the County Board does hereby direct the <br />Administrative Office of Anoka County to immediately forward a copy of <br />this resolution to each individual township and city within Anoka County <br />asking for their appointment to the Technical Advisory Committee to be <br />submitted back to the County Board no later than 10 days from the date <br />of this resolution. <br />
