Members Present: PUBLIC HEARING Board of Adjustment City of Ramsey Anoka County State of Minnesota pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Ramsey City Council held a Board of Adjustment meeting regarding August E. Grosslein request for variance on sign setback on October 14, 1980, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 553 Mayor Gamec Councilman Sorteberg Councilman Reiman Councilman Mickelson Councilman Cox Councilman Mickelson called the meeting to order at 9:20 P.M. City Administrator Schnelle said Mr. Grosslein is requesting q on his sign that faces Tungsten Street N.W.,- feet of at in t h line. e street. He said the minimum line. . H said the sign doesn't withnything. Councilman Cox said he didn't have any problem with the sign the way it is right now. It is on the city right -of -way and he didn't know if there was a legal problem there. Councilman Mickelson pointed out that if there is-ever an accident involving the sign when it is in the city's right -of -way, it would present a liability problem for the city. Building Official Berg said he didn't know exactly where the right -of way line was. , Motion by Mayor Gamec and seconded by Councilman Cox to close the Board of Adjustment Public Hearing. Motion carried. Voting yes -Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Heimann, Mickelson and Cox. Voting no -None. Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to grant a variance on August Grosslein sign setback that he may have a zero lot line setback. 'Motion carried. Voting yes -Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, Mickelson and Cox. Voting no -None. Motion by Mayor-Gamec and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to adjourn the Board of Adjustment.
