• <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />City of Ramsey <br />Anoka County <br />State of Minnesota <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Ramsey City Council held a <br />public hearing regarding Street Improvvem0enttProjectm(Ty Municipal Rivly nter, <br />and Front Streets) on September 23, 1980, <br />15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 553 <br />Members Present: Councilman cSorteberg <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Cox <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 7:35 <br />P.M. and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br />City Engineer Raatikka said the proposed project consists of upgrading <br />Tungsten Street, Front Street and Rivlyn Avenue. Since the proposed <br />project is located in the 1990 Urban Service Area, he recommended <br />that construction of the street to ultimate standards be put off until <br />services are constructed. He recommended two alternatives to the <br />ultimate street sections: 1) Consider the proposed suburban street <br />section for Tungsten and Front Streets and 2) Consider not doing any <br />ercost than inlets to <br />the Rivlyn Avenue. <br />good for <br />this year only. He said adding a couple inlets to the storm sewer at <br />Rivlyn Avenue and Tungsten Street would cost an estimated $2,400 which <br />should be assessed to property owners from the entire area that drains <br />into the storm sewer. <br />Ms Ruth Gustafson 625 Rivlyn Avenue <br />Ms. Gustafson asked why the city is putting in streets now if sewer <br />& water will be coming in. <br />Mayor Gamec said that is a concern of the council also as the <br />will be available in 1982. <br />Mr. Kerry O'Rourke 62 2 Rivlyn Avenue <br />Mr. O'Rourke stated the water problems came a bou te bec au se of Gross <br />commercial property going on <br />have any problems with their roads there until Grosslein brought in <br />80 pound Semi's. <br />Mayor Gamec said the city told Grosslein water <br />drainage there.
