Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION 919-242 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH RUM <br /> RIVER CONSTRUCTION CONSULTANTS <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey, henceforth known as "the City" is in need of professional <br /> services to fulfill the needs of the building inspection services pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 326B.133; <br /> and <br /> WHERAS, Rum River Construction Consultants has substantial experience as a Building <br /> Official and providing building department inspection services implementing the State Building <br /> Code and is otherwise qualified to assist the City on an as needed basis for the same; and <br /> WHERAS,the City desires to contract with Rum River Construction Consultants to act as <br /> a Building Official and/or provide building inspection services for the City; and <br /> WHERAS, Rum River Construction Consultants is engaged in an independent business <br /> and has complied with all federal, state, and local laws regarding business permits and licenses of <br /> any kind that may be required to carry out said business and the tasks as set forth in this Agreement; <br /> and <br /> WHERAS, Contractor is an independent contractor and may be engaged to perform the <br /> same or similar activities for other municipalities during the term of the Agreement, and that Rum <br /> River Construction Consultants shall not work solely on behalf of the City. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> I) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the professional services contract with <br /> Rum River Construction Consultants <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> Riley, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Mayor LeToumeau <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Heinrich <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Menth <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> None <br />
