Weekly Update — March 10, 2023 Come Work With Us! The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: • Police Officer (2 Openings). The primary objective of this position is to perform responsible police work involving the protection and safety of the community through prevention and control of crime, maintaining or restoring public order, investigating crime, regulating traffic, enforcing laws and providing emergency services, as well as other related duties as required. This is a full-time LELS-Patrol union position. The 2023 hiring wage is $32.460 per hour. Application deadline is open until filled Apply immediately if interested The City of Ramsey is also hiring the following Temporary Seasonal Staff: • Seasonal Maintenance Workers (11 Openings). The primary objective of this position is to provide general maintenance of streets, park grounds, trails, buildings and related facilities and equipment through the spring, summer and possibly fall months. This also includes mowing and trimming; pruning and planting trees or working on landscape projects; maintaining athletic fields; picking up trash; street and utility maintenance. These temporary non -union positions work up to forty (40) hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Must be at least 17 years of age or older by June 1 and have a valid Minnesota driver's license. The 2023 hiring wage is $13.00 to $15.00 per hour, depending on qualifications. Help Keep Snow Away from Fire Hydrants by Becoming a Hydrant Hero. Please help keep snow away from fire hydrants. Snow piled close to hydrants restricts operation during a fire emergency. After a snowfall, the Public Works Department is responsible for clearing snow from City streets. Depending on the amount and type of snow, this could take several days. The City is requesting your help in keeping our fire hydrants accessible. Please clear a four - foot circle around the hydrant near your home to ensure easy access for our Fire Department.
