Weekly Update — March 10, 2023 <br />Come Work With Us! <br />The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: <br />• Police Officer (2 Openings). The primary objective of this position is to perform <br />responsible police work involving the protection and safety of the community through <br />prevention and control of crime, maintaining or restoring public order, investigating <br />crime, regulating traffic, enforcing laws and providing emergency services, as well as <br />other related duties as required. This is a full-time LELS-Patrol union position. The 2023 <br />hiring wage is $32.460 per hour. Application deadline is open until filled Apply <br />immediately if interested <br />The City of Ramsey is also hiring the following Temporary Seasonal Staff: <br />• Seasonal Maintenance Workers (11 Openings). The primary objective of this position <br />is to provide general maintenance of streets, park grounds, trails, buildings and related <br />facilities and equipment through the spring, summer and possibly fall months. This also <br />includes mowing and trimming; pruning and planting trees or working on landscape <br />projects; maintaining athletic fields; picking up trash; street and utility maintenance. <br />These temporary non -union positions work up to forty (40) hours per week, Monday <br />through Friday, from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Must be at least 17 years of age or older by <br />June 1 and have a valid Minnesota driver's license. The 2023 hiring wage is $13.00 to <br />$15.00 per hour, depending on qualifications. Please help keep <br />snow away from fire hydrants. Snow piled close to hydrants <br />restricts operation during a fire emergency. After a snowfall, <br />the Public Works Department is responsible for clearing snow <br />from City streets. Depending on the amount and type of snow, <br />this could take several days. The City is requesting your help <br />in keeping our fire hydrants accessible. Please clear a four - <br />foot circle around the hydrant near your home to ensure easy <br />access for our Fire Department. Please join us for Mayor Kuzma's 2023 State of <br />the City Address on Tuesday, March 28, (please note the date change) at 7:00 pm in <br />the Ramsey City Hall Council Chambers, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW. In his <br />presentation, Mayor Kuzma will review City operations, updates and achievements <br />from 2022, as well as a look ahead at what the City of Ramsey is working on in 2023. <br />• 2023 Ramsey Business Expo: Mark your calendar! The EDA is hosting its 14th annual <br />Business Expo on Saturday, April 29, from 10:00 am — 2:00 pm at Adrenaline Sports <br />Center, 8310 147th Lane NW, Ramsey, MN. Vendor registration is still available, with <br />priority for Ramsey businesses. Families or individuals can learn about businesses in <br />their backyard while enjoying complimentary samples, giveaways, fun activities and a <br />FREE tote bag!
