Plans are available upon request from the City <br />Engineer. <br />The proposed improvements are designated as City Improvement Project #23 -01, 161 st Avenue Reconstruction. <br />Notification: <br />If Council approves plans and specifications and authorizes advertising for bids, bids will be advertised on <br />Friday, March 17, and again on Friday, March 24, 2023, both in the City's official newspaper, the Anoka Union <br />Herald, and in Finance & Commerce. <br />Additionally, letters will be mailed to property owners with updates on the project status. Engineering Staff <br />maintains City Improvement webpages with the most current project information, this can be found on the City <br />website, Engineering department page. <br />Observations/Alternatives: <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #23-051 approving plans and specifications and authorizing advertisement for bids for <br />161 st Avenue Reconstruction, Improvement Project #23-01. <br />Funding Source: <br />Funding for this improvement is proposed to come from MSA funds, Stormwater Utility Funds, Sanitary Sewer <br />Utility Funds, Water Utility Funds, and Park Improvement Trust Funds. If the State awards the Active <br />Transportation Grant, the grant would offset construction costs of the trail, which is currently proposed to be <br />funded with MSA funds. <br />Staff has completed an estimate based on the final plans and anticipated 2023 construction costs, with a total <br />estimated project cost of $1,924,154.19, which includes 23-percent indirect costs for administrative, engineering, <br />finance, and legal costs. <br />.
