Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #23-057 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RENEWAL OF ANOKA COUNTY REGIONAL <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP (ACRED) <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is an Anoka County municipality, and as such is a <br />rapidly growing and important segment of the Twin Cities Metropolitan Region, made up of <br />a rich variety of vital and desirable communities; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has worked with ACRED to market City owned land, <br />respond to regional RFP's and other participate in economic development and marketing <br />projects; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has been a party to the Voluntary Cost Sharing <br />Agreement (VCSA) with Anoka County since 2019 and has received a 2023 Renewal Invoice <br />for $1,626 for the VCSA for consideration; and <br />WHEREAS, The Ramsey EDA met on March 9, 2023 and unanimously <br />recommended approval of the 2023 ACRED VCSA renewal in the amount of $1,626. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City of Ramsey authorizes continue with the Voluntary Cost Sharing <br />Agreement, in a Memorandum of Understanding for Anoka County Regional <br />Economic Development activities. <br />2) That the City of Ramsey authorizes $1,626 of the City's EDA Fund (9230-6246) to <br />pay to Invoice for the City's share of the Voluntary Cost Sharing Agreement, in a <br />Memorandum of Understanding for Anoka County Regional Economic Development <br />activities. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />
