COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />7.01: Introduce Ordinance #23-03 Amendment to Chapter 2 Article V. - Boards, <br />Commissions and Authorities Division 2. - Economic Development Authority Section <br />2-189 <br />City Administrator Hagen reviewed the Staff report and shared that the ordinance would update <br />the existing ordinance concerning membership on the EDA in regard to City Councilmembers. <br />Councilmember Olson shared that the proposed change of language still leaves this slightly <br />ambiguous in his opinion. He suggested adding the language of "current term" to be more specific. <br />City Attorney Knaak stated that this would add clarity and do no harm. <br />Councilmember Musgrove stated that the Council liked this because it made it more clear and <br />agrees that adding "current term" gives more clarity. <br />Motion by Councilmember Musgrove, seconded by Councilmember Specht, to introduce <br />Ordinance #23-03 amendment to Chapter 2 Article V. - Boards, Commissions and Authorities <br />Division 2. - Economic Development Authority Section 2-189, with the addition of the words <br />"current term" <br />A roll call vote was performed: <br />Councilmember Musgrove aye <br />Councilmember Riley <br />aye <br />Councilmember Howell <br />aye <br />Councilmember Olson <br />aye <br />Councilmember Specht <br />aye <br />Councilmember Woestehoff <br />aye <br />Mayor Kuzma <br />aye <br />Motion carried. <br />8. MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br />City Administrator Hagen announced upcoming meetings and events. He stated that there is an <br />open house scheduled in April for the Ramsey portion of the Highway 10 project. He stated that <br />there are also open houses scheduled for other road projects. <br />Councilmember Specht encouraged residents to check out the Ramsey Spring Craft Show at Lord <br />of Life Church on March 4 and 5. <br />City Council / February 28, 2023 <br />Page 5 of 6 <br />
