CC Work Session 2.3. <br />Meeting Date: 03/ 14/2023 <br />By: Colleen Lasher, Administrative Services <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Discuss 2023 Citizen Survey <br />Purpose/Background: <br />BACKGROUND (resident survey): <br />As a result of the 2013 Council strategic planning process, the City initiated a regular, statistically <br />significant, resident surveying process (one survey every two years). Generally, survey results benefit the City in <br />a wide range of applications (E.g., the budgeting process, policy discussions, capital improvement plan, strategic <br />plan, and the comprehensive plan). The City has conducted a resident survey in 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2020. <br />The results of the 2020 survey are attached. The 2020 survey was received by council during spring of 2021, the <br />survey was not budgeted for in 2022. <br />Notification: <br />NA <br />Funding Source: <br />$15,000 was budgeted in 2023 for a resident survey. This amount was based on a quote received late 2021 for a <br />2022 survey. The attached scope of services was provided by Polco NRC who has conducted our previous <br />surveys.
