Weekly Update — March 17, 2023 Come Work With Us! The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: • Police Officer (2 Openings). The primary objective of this position is to perform responsible police work involving the protection and safety of the community through prevention and control of crime, maintaining or restoring public order, investigating crime, regulating traffic, enforcing laws and providing emergency services, as well as other related duties as required. This is a full-time LELS-Patrol union position. The 2023 hiring wage is $32.460 per hour. Application deadline is open until filled Apply immediately if interested The City of Ramsey is also hiring the following Temporary Seasonal Staff: • Seasonal Maintenance Workers (11 Openings). The primary objective of this position is to provide general maintenance of streets, park grounds, trails, buildings and related facilities and equipment through the spring, summer and possibly fall months. This also includes mowing and trimming; pruning and planting trees or working on landscape projects; maintaining athletic fields; picking up trash; street and utility maintenance. These temporary non -union positions work up to forty (40) hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm. Must be at least 17 years of age or older by June 1 and have a valid Minnesota driver's license. The 2023 hiring wage is $13.00 to $15.00 per hour, depending on qualifications. Please join us for Mayor Kuzma's 2023 State of the City Address on Tuesday, March 28, (please note the date change) at 7:00 pm in the Ramsey City Hall Council Chambers, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW. In his presentation, Mayor Kuzma will review City operations, updates and achievements from 2022, as well as a look ahead at what the City of Ramsey is working on in 2023. • 2023 Ramsey Business Expo: Mark your calendar! The EDA is hosting its 14th annual Business Expo on Saturday, April 29, from 10:00 am — 2:00 pm at Adrenaline Sports Center, 8310 147th Lane NW, Ramsey, MN. Vendor registration is still available, with priority for Ramsey businesses. Families or individuals can learn about businesses in their backyard while enjoying complimentary samples, giveaways, fun activities and a FREE tote bag!
