Phase 1 Tasks <br /> <br />Task 1 - Tntegrate Planning <br />Process: Develop and include in <br />master Planning Documents (i.e., City <br />Comprehensive Plan) a link that <br />combines the City's existing <br />development and land management <br />plans to the future wastewater <br />infrastructure needs in terms of <br />wastewater flows and timelines for <br />construction. <br /> <br />Phase 1 Tasks <br /> <br />Task 2 - Conduct a Needs Assessment <br />and Technology Screening: Conduct a <br />needs assessment to determine if there are <br />compelling environmental conditions, land <br />use issues, or development plans that <br />warrant the use of a particular wastewater <br />management approach, technology or <br />infrastructure. The City's updated "Planning <br />Documents" will provide guidance regarding <br />this needs assessment and technology <br />screening process. <br /> <br />Phase 1 Tasks <br /> <br />Task 3 - Prepare a Cost <br />Assessment: Prepare a report that <br />assesses the costs to the community of <br />using DWM systems so as to determine <br />whether establishing a local Responsible <br />Management Entity (RME) will be more <br />cost effective than sewering the entire <br />City on a centralized system. <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br /> <br />
