CASE # <br /> <br />CONSIDER ENTERING INTO MNDOT AGREEMENT 89136-R FOR <br />CONSTRUCTION IMPROVEMENTS ALONG TH 47 <br /> By Steven Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City had entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation and Anoka County in April of 2004 which outlined <br />responsibilities associated with certain desired improvements along TH 10. This <br />memorandum was non-binding and was not to be construed as creating contractual <br />obligations between the parties. Attached to this case is MnDot Agreement No. 89136 <br />which provides for the necessary contractual agreement required by the state to award <br />two projects which will facilitate the installation ora turn lane extension along TH 10 at <br />Sunfish Lake Boulevard, and the reconstruction (ffRamsey Boulevard at TH 10. <br /> <br />The cost of the work that will be the responsibility of the City is estimated to be <br />$427,754.05. The actual cost will be based upon the bid proposal which is scheduled to <br />be received on March 24, 2006. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staffrecommends adopting Resolution 06-03-XXX authorizing the City to enter into <br />MnDot Agreement No. 89 136 to provide the City's share of the costs of the turn lane on <br />TH 10 at Sunfish Lake Boulevard and the reconstruction of Ramsey Boulevard at TH.10 <br />and other associated construction to be performed within the corporate City limits under <br />State Project No 0202-80 and State Project 0202-81. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Resolution 06-03-XXX authorizing the City to enter into MnDot <br />Agreement No. 89136 to provide the City's share of the costs of the turn lane on TH 10 at <br />Sunfish Lake Boulevard and the reconstruction of Ramsey Boulevard at TH 10 and other <br />associated construction to be performed within the corporate City limits under State <br />Project No 0202-80 and State Project 0202-81. <br /> <br />Reviewed By: <br />Assistant Public Works Director/Principal Engineer <br />Finance Officer <br />City Attorney <br /> <br />q <br /> <br />CC: 03/tt~t/O 6 <br /> <br />-217- <br /> <br /> <br />
