Subd. 3.v,1 under Durationof Installation of Protective Barriers for Tree Preservation was <br />amended to read as follows: "Ail protective tree fencing, staking or continuous ribbon and all <br />erosion control barriers must be installed prior to and maintained throughout the land disturbance <br />and construction process. Protective barriers should not be removed until acceptable vegetation <br />is established." <br /> <br />Subd. 3.v.2 was amended to read as follows: "Any development activity not associated with an <br />approved plat or site plan shall be required to erect suitable protective barriers and these <br />protective structures, where required, shall remain until such time as they sare authorized to be <br />removed by the City Building Inspectors or issuance of a Final Certificate of Occupancy." <br /> <br />Ms. Frolil< proceeded to review Mr. Boos' notes regarding the ordinance draft and as a result, the <br />following changes were made: <br /> <br />Subd. 3.n. 1 was amended to read as follows: "A tree preservation plan shall be submitted to the <br />City I'br approval prior to conducting any surface or sub-surface alteration activities that are not <br />associated with an approved grading plan for a specific development project." <br /> <br />Subd. 3.dd.2 was amended to read as folloxvs: "There shall be no pruning of public trees by <br />private landowners; all maintenance of public trees shall be accomplished by the City or the <br />City's designee." <br /> <br />Subd. 4.ii. 1 was amended to read as folloxvs: "Any species of plant considered to be indigenous <br />to the Anoka County Sand Plain." <br /> <br />Changes all rcf'ercnces in the ordinance to 'City Council' and 'Enviromnental Specialist' to the <br />'City'. <br /> <br />Subd. 4.ggg. 1 (definition of Environmental Specialist) is deleted; not advisable to mandate by <br />ordinance the City staff position responsible for administering the community forestry program. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik noted that she has Community Development Assistant Chris Anderson working on <br />reorganizing the draft tree regulations into proper ordinance format. <br /> <br />Case ¢/3' <br /> <br />Thc Ramsey Tree Book <br /> <br />Ms. Strommen stated that she obtained the following bids for publishing The Ramsey Tree <br />Book: <br /> <br /># of Copies Black andWhite <br />500 $935 $1,100 <br />1,000 $1,370 $1,730 <br />5,000 $3,750 $5,100 <br /> <br />Black and White w/one color page <br /> <br />Consensus was to seek funds to publish the first 500 copies with one color page. Mr. Rolfe <br />suggested that the Task Force apply for a grant fi'om the Park Commission from the lawful <br />gambling proceeds to fund the first publication of The Ramsey Tree Book. Ms. Frolik <br />volunteered to contact Parks and Utilities Supervisor Mark Boos rgarding Mr. Rolfe's <br />suggestion. <br /> <br /> <br />
