The EPTF should also be prepared to present some scenarios utilizing the canopy <br />cover formula. <br /> <br />Case//3 <br /> <br />Council Update <br /> <br />Consensus was that EPTF should be present at the May 13 Council meeting to provide the <br />councilmembers with copies of the draft Tree Preservation Ordinance and advise them of the <br />June 5 public hearing. <br /> <br />Case//4 Future Topics <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda stated that he would like to invite Rich Biske to a future EPTF meeting to <br />make a presentation on the results of the land cover survey. It was further suggested that the <br />results of thc survey and how to utilize the information would be a good topic for a joint meeting <br />between EPTF and the Park Commission in June or July. <br /> <br />Another future topic is wetlands and water supply. Councilmember Strommen and City <br />Engineer ,lanl<owski (Chair of Lower Rum River Water Management Organization) should <br />participate in these discussions. <br /> <br />Mr. Max noted that he can do a presentation on the tree census for the City of Minneapolis, <br />which could tie in with Mr. Biske's presentation of Ramsey's land cover inventory. Mr. <br />McDilda suggested that the June 19th meeting of the EPTF might be appropriate for the <br />presentations on land cover surveys and inventories. <br /> <br />TASK FORCE MEMBERSHIP <br /> <br />It was noted that the Task Force needs a replacement for Seth Marshall. Mr. McDilda stated that <br />hc will be contacting Mr. Reeve to determine if he would like to be relieved of his EPTF <br />assignments. Mr. Reeve's response will enable Mr. McDilda to determine exactly how many <br />new members need to be recruited. Mr. McDilda stated that he has heard from certain <br />councilmembers that Ms. Dvorak's husband is facing serious health problems, but she intends to <br />continue bet participation on tim EPTF. <br /> <br />ACTION ITEMS <br /> <br />· Ms. Frolik to send copies of The Ramsey Tree Book to all members of the Planning <br /> Commission and Parks and Recreation Commission. <br /> <br />· Ms. Sitz to investigate whether a copy of The Ramsey Tree Book can be placed in the <br /> reference section at the Anoka County Library and the Anoka County Extension Service. <br /> <br />· Ms. Frolik to notify and provide copies of the draft tree preservation ordinance to <br /> developers flint work in Ramsey. <br /> <br />· The EPTF should be prepared to present some scenarios utilizing the canopy cover <br /> f~ormula at the June 5 tree preservation ordinance public hearing. <br /> <br /> <br />
