Weekly Update — March 24, 2023 <br />Come Work With Us! <br />The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: <br />• Police Officer (2 Openings). The primary objective of this position is to perform <br />responsible police work involving the protection and safety of the community through <br />prevention and control of crime, maintaining or restoring public order, investigating crime, <br />regulating traffic, enforcing laws and providing emergency services; as well as other <br />related duties as required. This is a full-time LELS-Patrol union position. The 2023 hiring <br />wage is $32.460 per hour. Application deadline is open until filled, apply immediately if <br />interested. <br />• Streets Maintenance Worker. The primary objective of this position is to provide <br />general and skilled maintenance of public streets, right-of-ways, storm sewer systems, <br />parking lots and any other related municipal facilities or equipment; as well as snow <br />plowing of public streets, trails and walks. This is a full-time AFSCME union position <br />and is subject to D.O.T. random drug and alcohol testing. The 2023 hiring wage is <br />$25.749 per hour. Application deadline is 11:59 pm on Sunday, April 16, 2023 so apply <br />immediately if interested <br />The City of Ramsey is also hiring the following Temporary Seasonal Staff: <br />• Seasonal Maintenance Workers (11 Openings). The primary objective of this position <br />is to provide general maintenance of streets, park grounds, trails, buildings and related <br />facilities and equipment through the spring, summer and possibly fall months. This also <br />includes mowing and trimming; pruning and planting trees or working on landscape <br />projects; maintaining athletic fields; picking up trash; street and utility maintenance. <br />These temporary non -union positions work up to forty (40) hours per week, Monday <br />through Friday, from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm. Must be at least 17 years of age or older by <br />June 1 and have a valid Minnesota driver's license. The 2023 hiring wage is $13.00 to <br />$15.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.
