TASK FORCE BUSINESS

Case#l: Prepare A Response To Information Received From Consultants On
December 6, 2004

Chairperson McDilda reiterated the Environmental Policy Task Force is pleased with the
progress to date and looking forward to the first draft of the wetland buffer ordinance in January.
No formal feedback regarding the information received on December 6 is required unless
specifically requested by the consultants.

General discussion ensued.

Committee Member Max added that we will be paying special attention to the "triggering"
mechanisms for wetland delineation.

Case #2: Discussion Of Proposed Membership For Environmental Quality Board

Chairperson McDilda recalled that at the December 6 meeting, the EPTF recommended to City
Council that the newly forming Environmental Quality Board consist of 5 residents at large and
one non-voting City Council liaison. Chairperson McDilda stated that Councilmember
Strommen has expressed interest in providing some input on the subject. As a result, Mr.
McDilda did not forward the recommendation to the City Council.

Mr. McDilda stated that Councilmember Strommen would like the Task Force to reconsider their
recommendation to a 7-member Environmental Quality Board. She also feels strongly that there
should be a representative from each ward and that there should be provisions for a non-voting
student intern.

Motion by Chairperson McDilda and seconded by Committee Member Max to tabled further
discussion of the Environmental Policy Board membership representation until the January 20,
2005 meeting when Councilmember Strommen can be present for the discussion.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson McDilda, Committee Members Max, and Olds.
Voting No: None. Absent: Committee Members Bauer, Connolly, and Sitz.

TASK FORCE INPUT

None.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Chairperson McDilda and seconded by Committee Member Max to adjourn the
meeting.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson McDilda, Committee Members Max, and Olds.
Absent: Committee Members Bauer, Connolly, and Sitz. Voting No: None.

EPTF December 13, 2004
