Weekly Update — March 31, 2023
<br />The City of Ramsey is also hiring the following Temporary Seasonal Staff:
<br />• Seasonal Maintenance Workers (6 Openings Remaining). The primary objective of
<br />this position is to provide general maintenance of streets, park grounds, trails, buildings,
<br />and related facilities and equipment through the spring, summer and possibly fall months.
<br />This also includes mowing and trimming; pruning and planting trees or working on
<br />landscape projects; maintaining athletic fields; picking up trash; street and utilities
<br />maintenance. These temporary non -union positions work up to forty (40) hours per week,
<br />Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Must be at least 17 years of age or
<br />older by June 1st and have a valid Minnesota driver's license. The 2023 hiring wage is
<br />$13.00 to $15.00 per hour, depending on qualifications. Application deadline is open

<br />Earth, Friday, April 21, 9:30 — 11:00 am at City Hall, or 12:30 — 2:00 pm at Public
<br />Works. Remember to wear appropriate footwear (this is casual Friday). Gloves and
<br />garbage bags will be provided. Sign-up by contacting Nicole Laubach at

<br />Lane NW, Ramsey. There will be free food & drink samples, gift card drawings,

<br />Touch of Magic and more! Learn about local businesses and what's happening in the

<br />• Spring Recycling Day Event. The Spring Recycling Day event will be on Saturday,
<br />May 6, from 8:00 am — 12:00 pm at the Ramsey Public Works facility (14199 Jaspar
<br />Street NW). This is an opportunity for residents to properly dispose of several materials
<br />not accepted in the curbside recycling program, including appliances, electronics, tires,
<br />fluorescent bulbs, batteries, oil, oil filters, antifreeze, mattresses, box springs and scrap
<br />metal. The standard curbside materials (e.g. cardboard, aluminum, steel, and tin cans,
<br />newspaper, plastic bottles, tubs, and lids 1 gallon or less in size, glass jars and bottles)
<br />will also be accepted. Finally, residents can take advantage of FREE paper shredding at
<br />the Spring Recycling Day event (limited to no more than three boxes of documents; the
<br />shredded paper does get recycled). Attached to the Weekly Update is the Spring
