In this notification, the office must specify the proposed <br />112.2 addition or modification, the reasons for the addition or modification, any written comments <br />112.3 received by the office from the public about the addition or modification, and any guidance <br />112.4 received from the Cannabis Advisory Council. An addition or modification by the office <br />112.5 under this subdivision becomes effective on August 1 of that year unless the legislature by <br />112.6 law provides otherwise. <br />112.7 EFFECTIVE DATE. This section is effective January 1, 2024. <br />112.8 Sec. 54. [342.541 DUTIES OF DIVISION OF MEDICAL CANNABIS; REGISTRY <br />112.9 PROGRAM. <br />112.10 Subdivision 1. Duties related to health care practitioners. The Division of Medical <br />112.11 Cannabis must: <br />112.12 (1) provide notice of the registry program to health care practitioners in the state; <br />112.13 (2) allow health care practitioners to participate in the registry program if they request <br />112.14 to participate and meet the program's requirements; <br />112.15 (3) provide explanatory information and assistance to health care practitioners to <br />112.16 understand the nature of the therapeutic use of medical cannabis flower and medical <br />112.17 cannabinoid products within program requirements; <br />112.18 (4) make available to participating health care practitioners a certification form in which <br />112. i 9 a health care practitioner certifies that a patient has a qualifying medical condition; and <br />112.20 (5) supervise the participation of health care practitioners in the registry reporting system <br />112.21 in which health care practitioners report patient treatment and health records information <br />112.22 to the office in a manner that ensures stringent security and record keeping requirements <br />112.23 and that prevents the unauthorized release of private data on individuals as defined in section <br />112.24 13.02. <br />112.25 Subd. 2. Duties related to the registry program. The Division of Medical Cannabis <br />112.26 must: <br />112.27 (1) administer the registry program according to section 342.52; <br />112.28 (2) provide information to patients enrolled in the registry program on the existence of <br />112.29 federally approved clinical trials for the treatment of the patient's qualifying medical condition <br />112.30 with medical cannabis flower or medical cannabinoid products as an alternative to enrollment <br />112.31 in the registry program; <br />Article 1 Sec. 54. 112 <br />
