Councilmember Woestehoff introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #23-057 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RENEWAL OF ANOKA COUNTY REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP (ACRED) WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is an Anoka County municipality, and as such is a rapidly growing and important segment of the Twin Cities Metropolitan Region, made up of a rich variety of vital and desirable communities; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has worked with ACRED to market City owned land, respond to regional RFP’s and other participate in economic development and marketing projects; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has been a party to the Voluntary Cost Sharing Agreement (VCSA) with Anoka County since 2019 and has received a 2023 Renewal Invoice for $1,626 for the VCSA for consideration; and WHEREAS, The Ramsey EDA met on March 9, 2023 and unanimously recommended approval of the 2023 ACRED VCSA renewal in the amount of $1,626. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City of Ramsey authorizes continue with the Voluntary Cost Sharing Agreement, in a Memorandum of Understanding for Anoka County Regional Economic Development activities. 2) That the City of Ramsey authorizes $1,626 of the City’s EDA Fund (9230-6246) to pay to Invoice for the City’s share of the Voluntary Cost Sharing Agreement, in a Memorandum of Understanding for Anoka County Regional Economic Development activities. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Musgrove, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Acting Mayor Riley Councilmember Woestehoff Councilmember Musgrove Councilmember Howell Councilmember Olson Councilmember Specht
