The 4th and 5th <br />Additions (on the east side) are in the subdivision process. Proposed are 78 single-family lots on the <br />Tiller property south of the old H&S parcel; adjacent to TH47, Good Value Homes is developing 42 <br />townhouses; and there will be 82 single-family lots south of McKingley Street. A park is also planned <br />for the area. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION BY GLEN VANWORMER, SHORT-ELLIOTT-HENDRICKSON, INC., <br />TRAFFIC CONSULTANT, REGARDING ANOKA ENTERPRISE PARK TRAFFIC STUDY AND <br />TH10 INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS. <br /> <br />VanWormer provided a summary of Anoka traffic concerns related to industrial development in the two <br />communities and existing and future Highway 10 issues. MnDOT had proposed improvements at <br />Thurston and Highway 10 which Anoka felt was an inadequate response to the problem. They budgeted <br />$6,000 for the SEH study and suggested that more studies beyond the $4,500 spent to date is necessary. <br /> <br />(Ramsey) Motion by Beyer, seconded by Zimmerman, to REQUEST THAT SHORT-ELLIOT- <br />HENDRICKSON PROVIDE A PROPOSAL TO EXPAND THE TRAFFIC STUDY AREA TO <br />INCLUDE SUNFISH LAKE DRIVE IN RAMSEY, INCLUDING TRAFFIC FROM THE FUTURE <br />ANOKA ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE AND ENERGY BUSINESS PARK. <br /> <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />ANIMAL CONTAINMENT FACILITY UPDATE. <br /> <br />Nagel provided a brief update on the animal containment facility. By consensus, the Ramsey Council <br />supports continuing to work together on this issue. <br /> <br />SET NEXT JO/NT MEETING ON TRANSPORTATION ISSUES. <br /> <br />Beberg expressed a desire to continue working together on the industrial park and other issues. He <br />further asked that a follow-up meeting be scheduled for August or September. <br /> <br />Hardin stated there is a need to work on transportation issues, as well, in order to plan for the future. <br /> <br />LOWER RUM RIVER WATER MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION JOINT POWERS <br />AGREEMENT. <br /> <br />Weaver thanked the Ramsey Council for their efforts to pass upon the compromise Lower Rum River <br />Water Management Organization Joint Powers Agreement. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Anoka City Council and the Ramsey City Council at <br />this joint meeting, the meeting was adjourned by voice vote at 8:40 p.m. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Peter M.
