Day <br />Pollution Control Specialist <br />Minnesota Pollution Control Agency <br />1935 West County Road B2 <br />Rosevill~,.'MI~ 55113 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Day: <br /> <br />Re: Your inspection of Anoka Municipal Sanitary Landfill, <br /> Minnesota Solid Waste Disposal Facility Permit SW-94 <br /> <br /> During your inspection you noted violations as spelled out in <br />your letter of October 20, 1980 to Mr. Lynn Davis. <br /> <br />Minnesota Rule SW-6(2) (d) (i): Inadequate daily cover. <br />Previously filled areas to the east of the current <br />working face have had additional cover placed on them <br />as of October 24, 1980. <br /> <br />2e <br /> <br />Litter Control: Due to the high winds that have been <br />experienced in October, Waste Management has closed <br />on October 10, 1980 at 3:00 in the afternoon and on <br />October 11, 1980 all day. Every effort is being made <br />by Waste Management to see that all accumulated paper <br />is collected in a timely manner. <br /> <br />Regrading of the resident disposal area is being <br />accomplished by October 24, 1980, which would alleviate <br />any potential water ponding areas. <br /> <br />As on-site drilling proceedes, arrangements have been <br />made for this material to be placed daily in the ac{ive <br />area and covered at the end of each days operation. <br /> <br />Enclosed for your review is a set of plans and <br />specifications for the Methane Control System <br />Expansion; as you know, construction of the wells <br />for this system is underway and drilling of these <br />wells is anticipated to be completed by October 24, 1980. <br />Waste Management is awaiting delivery of additional <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
