On June 12, 1980, the Minnesota Cable Comunications Board received a proposal from the City of Andover, a Minnesota municipality, for expansion of the Anoka/ Champlin/Ramsey Cable Service Territory to include the corporate limits of Andover. During its regular meeting on June 13, 1980, the Board acknowledged receipt of the proposal from the City of Andover and scheduled consideration of the proposal for its regular meeting on September 12, 1980. The Anoka/Champlin/Ramsey Cable Commission furthermore requests that the Board refer the Andover proposal back to the city council of the City of Andover for the purpose of designation of an initial cable service area consistent with the original cable service territory proposal for Anok~, Champlin and Ramsey- Staff recommends that the Board approve this request from the Anoka/Champlin/ Ramsey Cable Commission for postponement of action as provided in the cited rule for reasons given in Mr. Creighton'S letter to the chairman of the Board dated September 3, 1980. in the event this request is granted, the Board would be scheduled to consider the proposal during its regular,'meeting on Oct- ober 17, 1980. Staff furthermore recommends that the Board refer the proposal back to the city council of the City of Andover for the purpose stated in Mr. Creighton's letter dated September 3, 1980, a copy of wh'ich is attached hereto. A proposed motion granting the Commission's request and referring the proposal back to the City of Andover is also attached hereto.
