METROPOLITAN ~.~LTH BOARD 300 Metro Square Building, 7th Street and Robert Street, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55101 Area 612, 291-6359 January 14, 1981 TO: FROM: Metropolitan Area Citizens, Health Care Providers and Government Officials Metropolitan Council and Metropolitan Health Board The Metropolitan Council and Metropolitan Health Board will hold a public hearing on February 18, 1981, at 7:00 p.m., in the Metropolitan Council Chambers, 300 Metro Square Building, 7th and Robert Streets, St. Paul. The purpose of the hearing is to receive oral and written comments on ~wo documents: 1. The interim Annual Implementation Plan for the Metropolitan Health'Systems Agency~ July 1 to December 31~ 1981. The application for fiscal 1981-82 federal funding of the Metropolitan Council and Metropolitan Health Board as the health systems agency for the Seven-County Metropolitan Area, including the section on qualifications and composi- tion of the governing body of the health systems agency. The annual implementation plan and the application fulfill requirements of the National Health Planning and Resources Development Act, as amended in 1979 (Public Law 96-79) for continued operation of the Council and Health Board as the health systems agency for Minnesota Region V. People who wish to speak at the hearing may register in advance by contacting Eleanor Suneson at the Health Board office, 291-6352. The hearing recordwill remain open for written comments for seven days, until the close of business on February 25, 1981. Written comments should be sent to the Metropolitan Health Board at the above address.
