Regarding #12, County Road 56: City Engineer Raatikka reported <br />the County wants to use the road between 149th and 152nd lane. <br />Mot/on/by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Re,mann <br />to ~ service road across from Tom Thumb for use in <br />construction upgrading of County Road 56. <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilman Sorteberg, <br />Councilman Reimann, Councilman Cox and Councilwoman Van Wagner. <br />Voting no: None. <br /> <br />The City Administrator's Staff Report and Building Inspector's <br />Staff Report were noted and no comments were made. <br /> <br />CASE #2 BLAINE MIDWAY ALL PETS, INC. PROPOSED AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> (D2 Case #9 agenda of January 13, 1981) <br />Motion by Councilperson Reimann and seconded by Councilperson Cox <br />to approve of the agreement between the city of Ramsey and Blaine <br />Midway All Pets, Inc. for a two year contract. Further, authorizing <br />the Mayor and City Administrator to sign said agreement. <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilman Sorteberg, <br />Councilman Reimann, Councilman Cox and Councilwoman Van Wagner. <br />Vo~ing no: None. <br /> <br />CASE #3 METRO COUNCIL GUIDELINES FOR REVIEWING LOCAL COMPREHENSIVE <br />'PLAN AMENDMENTS (Encl D2 Case ~10 - January 13, 1981 agenda). <br />city Administrator Schnelle discussed the Metropolitan Council <br />letter of December 22, 1980. He stated local issues should not <br />be involved and is opposed to any business with the Metro Council <br />other than on a regional basis. <br /> Councilman Cox suggested forwarding a letter to the Metro Council <br /> firmly stating the city's opinion regarding any proposed amendments <br /> with a potential impact on local government guidelines. He <br /> stated we carry the burden of mandated policies and these policies <br /> should be funded by the Metro Council or they should cut the <br /> mandated policies. <br /> <br /> City Administrator Schnelle stated the Metro Council will impose <br /> expensive policies and we should not be subjected to these as <br /> we did not receive any state aids. <br /> <br /> Motion by Councilman Sorteberg and seconded by Councilman Cox <br /> to prepare a resolution for a letter to the Metropolitan Council <br /> objecting to review of the comprehensive plan amendment and <br /> mandates to the city. <br /> <br /> Motion carried.
