REGULAR RM4SEY TO%'~SHIP PLANNING AND ZONlJ~u November &, 197& <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Mr. Sorteberg, <br />at 8:30 p.m., due to the Tovm Board meeting which had preceded <br />it. Present were I~m. Emmans, Mr. Pittman, Mr. Gamec, Mr. Fossum, <br />and Mrs. Guy. <br />Mr. Emmans moved the minutes be approved as mailed. Seconded by <br />Mr. Fossum. Motion carried. <br />I4r. Sidney Schaumberg: He has 80 acres north of Ramsey Terrace <br />and west of Hunters Hill olat which land is land locked. He has <br />talked to the State Attorney's office and the County Attorney's <br />office. They had told him there is an old ~nnesota Statute by <br />which the Tovm Board can condemn land for a cartway 33 feet wide <br />through someone else's land but Mr. Schaumberg would have to buy <br />the land and build the road. The closest entrance would be through <br />Ramsey Terrace plat over land o~vned by Wilbur Chapman. He could <br />also come across land ov~ed by Mr. Chicoine, which would be a little <br />farther but flatter and straighter, coming in at 144th Lane N. W. <br />Mr. Gamec moved we refer this matter to Mr. Fricke, our engineer, <br />and Mr. Goodrich, our attorney, for their approval and direction <br />as to where such a cartway should go. Seconded by Mr. Emmans. <br />Motion carried. <br /> Carter Valley: Mr. Neilson read the motion made at the Town Board <br /> meeting of October 21, 197&. He explained the maps drawn by the <br /> Wehrman and Chapman regarding a park in the Carter <br /> firm of Nason, ' . .... ~ ..... ~. Gamec moved <br /> plat north of Trott Brook comprms~ng ±z.o ~o. - 33 <br /> we recommend this park site to the Board and also recommend a <br /> foot walkway from 173rd Lane north to Trott Brook as shown on the <br /> map drawn by John Bergley, exhibit & with ll.8 acres. Seconded <br /> by Mr. Fossum. Mr. Emmans, Mr. Gamec, Mr. Sorteberg and Mr. Foss- <br /> nm voted for this motion. ~. Pittman voted against it. The <br /> motion passed. <br /> Mr. Pittman stated we need turnarounds for the six lots on German- <br /> ium St. <br /> Mr. Pittman moved we recommend that the ordinance 73-2, Section <br /> 8.06 be amended to state that the City of Ramsey has the choice <br /> of park property within any plat when the sketch plan comes in <br /> for reviewal. Seconded by Mr. Emmans. Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Pittman moved we amend our ordinance No. 7-39, dated June 25, <br /> 1971~ to read 960 square feet are required on the first floor <br /> including the foyer. Seconded by ~,~. Emmans. Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Emmans moved we adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Mr. Gamec. <br /> Motion carried.
