<br />~. ^_~uncilperson introduced the following resolution <br />~~ and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 81- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REGARDING SELECTION OF SANITARY LANDFILL SITES IN ANOKA COUNTY <br /> <br />WHEREAS the County of Anoka is in the process of selecting preliminary candidate <br />sites for sanitary landfills, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the site is located within the Rural Service Area of the City of Ramsey <br />and is not scheduled for sewer or water services, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS in comparing the site to the County's site selection criteria, it appears <br />that the site is highly undesirable, and <br /> <br />_ WHEREAS there is presently an existing sanitary landfill in operation in the City <br />of Ramsey which serves a large portion of the metropolitan area. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, <br />MINNESOTA as follows: <br /> <br />1.) The County of Anoka delete the site bordered by Dolphin Street N.W., <br />169th Avenue N.W., Llama Street N.W., and 173rd Avenue N.W. in the <br />City of Ramsey from its list of possible candidate sites. <br /> <br />2.) Direct the City Administration to send a copy of this resolution <br />to the Anoka County Landfill Siting Committee. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the ~d day of February, 1981. <br />z~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />City Administrator/Clerk <br />
