Paul, MN 55101, attention Business and Community Contact <br />Division. ENTRIES-MUST BE RETURNED BY ~qARCH 16, 1981. <br /> The Star Cities Program consists of several elements, each of which must be <br /> completed prior to receiving "Star City" designation from the Minnesota Depart- <br /> ment of Economic Development. The elements include: <br /> <br /> · Participation in the economic development training program sponsored by <br /> the Minnesota Department of Economic Development. <br /> · Creation of an organization responsible for the economic development <br /> efforts in the city. <br /> · Creation of a local development corporation. - <br /> a community economic assessment. <br /> a five year plan and strategy for economic development. <br /> <br /> a one year action program. <br />· Completion of a community slide presentation. <br />· Completion of a labor survey. <br />· Completion of a five year capital improvement plan. <br /> · Preparation of a community fact booklet. <br />.· Completion of an industry call program in the community Qn an annual basis. <br /> · Achievement of satisfactory rating from the Minnesota Department df Economic <br /> Development Star City Review Committee on the community sales presentation <br /> to potential clients. <br /> <br /> ' Detailed information on each element will be sent to the community coordinator <br /> upon return of the Minnesota Star Cities Program entry form. <br /> <br /> <br />
