PROPOSAL SPECIFICATIONS <br />Layout and per orm sculptural carving on or upon two Burr Oak trees at Sunfish Lake <br />Park, and treat with wood preservative or oil -based stain (or both). <br />PreQualification's: <br />I. Bidder/Contactor shall demonstrate that he/she has successfully performed the <br />same work above on 3 (three) similar different sites in the public domain within <br />the last 10 (ten) years —and include images and references upon request. <br />II. Bidder/Contractor must have appropriate insurance and safety equipment. <br />I/We agree to furnish all labor, supplemental materials as needed, and site security to <br />perform the work below. <br />• Contractor must confirm the trunks of both trees to be carved are 'sound' and <br />appropriate for chainsaw carving, and that the interior of the trunks are solid <br />enough to remain standing for more than a decade (understanding that the wood <br />will be treated following carving) —before beginning any work. <br />• Mobilization to include setting up scaffolding if used. (The City will delimb the <br />two oak trees at Sunfish Lake Park.) <br />• Contractor shall carve trees pursuant to proposal, but 'field adjustments' may be <br />made upon consultation and approval with owner. <br />• This Request for Quotation shall be anot-to-exceed amount. The Contractor must <br />include within his/her quote any time or materials necessary to complete the work <br />in a professional and quality manner. There will be no Change Orders. <br />• Work site may be required to be enclosed with temporary safety fencing —if the <br />contractor is using scaffolding and not physically on site. (Orange plastic safety <br />fencing may be borrowed from the City.) Fencing is not required if there are no <br />equipment, scaffolding, or loose items/ tools anywhere on site. <br />21Page <br />
