6.02: PUBLIC HEARING - Introduce Ordinance #23-07 to Amend Chapter 4 of the <br />Charter - Nominations and Elections <br />Presentation <br />City Clerk Schmidt reviewed the staff report concerning Charter amendments, including changes <br />to the appointment process in the event of a vacancy. <br />Public Hearing <br />Mayor Kuzma called the public hearing to order at 7:22 p.m. <br />Citizen Input <br />There was none. <br />Motion by Councilmember Musgrove, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to close the public <br />hearing. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Kuzma, Councilmembers Musgrove, Olson, Riley, Specht, <br />and Woestehoff. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Howell. <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:23 p.m. <br />Council Business <br />Motion by Councilmember Riley, seconded by Councilmember Woestehoff, to introduce <br />Ordinance #23-07 amending Chapter 4 of the City Charter - Nominations and Elections. <br />Further discussion: <br />Councilmember Musgrove asked if this is just an introduction and it will come back for an official <br />vote to be passed. <br />City Clerk Schmidt said yes. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Kuzma, Councilmembers Riley, Woestehoff, Musgrove, and <br />Olson. Voting No: Councilmember Specht. Absent: Councilmember Howell. <br />7.
