Welsh Construction Corporation was formed in July, 1978 by its presi- <br />dent George Welsh, who has 20 years of experience in the industry. <br />Other principals are Dennis Doyle, vice president of Real Estate and <br />Development, and Jim Arbuclde, vice president of Construction. <br /> <br />Welsh Construction Corporation has been primarily in- <br />volved in three areas: commercial and industrial real estate <br />development for ownership and for sale to institutional <br />buyers; turn-key build-to-suit buildings for investors and <br />owner-users; and general construction and commercial <br />remodeling on a bid basis. <br /> Recently completed development projects include four <br /> cc. office/warehouse buildings encompassing 170,000 <br /> sp o,. feet and located in the Edina Interchange area;.Alas~ <br /> ScTn~e~ are three build.to-suit office/warehouse ouuu <br /> ings totaling 85,000 square feet in Eden Prairie and Edina; <br /> a 3-story, 30,000 square foot office building in New Hope; <br /> and a number of commercial remodeling jobs. <br /> The firm is optimistic about 1981 and is planning three <br /> <br />along with a 50,000 square foot office]warehouse in Arden <br />Hills. ' ' <br />Also on the drawing board for 1981 are three build.to-suit <br />projects totaling 60,000 square feet. These will be con- <br />structed for owner-users on a turn-key basis in Eden <br />Prairie and Burusville. <br />Welsh Construction has expanded its services in develop- <br />ment and construction to include property management, <br />with approximately 300,000 square feet of property un- <br />der management. That figure is projected to increase in <br />1981. The company has also recently added a real estate <br />brokerage division, Welsh Construction Real Estate Ser- <br />vices, under the direction of Dan Russ, Real Estate Ma-. <br />nager. <br /> Looking to the future, Welsh Construction is directing its <br /> <br />I of the Nine Mile Creek Business uenter, ,cu?ent~,) ,~a operation toward a full service organization, serving all <br />construction, composed of 62,000 sq.u?e, '.e,etan~v~s~s~ phases of commercial real estate development and incind- <br /> in the Edina Interchange area.
