contracted with Inspectron a few years ago when the Building Inspections Division was being <br />overhauled and the city had been very pleased with their work. <br />Councilmember Dehen asked whether Inspectron had reduced their price and Human Resources <br />Manager Reed Kone responded that Inspectron had reduced its price from $60/hr to $50/hr. <br />Motion by Councilmember McGlone, seconded by Mayor Ramsey, to recommend that the City <br />Council eliminate a building inspector position and authorize staff to enter into a contract for <br />inspection services with Inspectron. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Dehen, Councilmembers Ramsey and McGlone. <br />Voting No: None. <br />Case #2: Consider a Resolution Extending the Probationary Period for the Deputy <br />City Administrator and the Planning Manager <br />Human Resources Manager Reed Kone reviewed the staff report. Councilmember Dehen <br />inquired as to why staff needed to be present when their probationary period was being <br />considered by the Council. Human Resources Manager Reed Kone responded that it gives staff <br />an opportunity to answer any questions the Council may have, particularly as it relates to <br />subordinates whose probationary periods are being considered. <br />Motion by Mayor Ramsey, seconded by Councilmember McGlone, to recommend that the City <br />Council extend the probationary period for the Deputy City Administrator and the Planning <br />Manager to January 13, 2010. <br />Motion carried.
