Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Otson, to approve a Certificate <br />of Correction to the Ramsey Town Center Fifth Addition plat and authorize the Mayor and City <br />Clerk to execute the same on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Olson, Elvig, Jeffrey, <br />Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #i1: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Consider Accepting Letters of Resignation from Planning Commissioner <br />Members <br /> <br />Human Resources Manager Reed explained this item includes a formality regarding the <br />resignation of Mr. Robert Johnson. This was addressed at the last meeting, but the resolution <br />was not prepared at that time. In addition, Ms. Deborah Shepherd, Planning Commission <br />member, has also submitted a letter of resignation effective April 30, 2006. Staffhas been given <br />direction to schedule interviews to fill Mr. Johnson's seat and staff is requesting authorization to <br />begin the process to fill Ms. Shepherd's seat. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen left the meeting at 8:49 p.m. <br /> <br />Human Resources Manager Reed advised staff and the Personnel Committee recommend the <br />following: <br /> <br />I. Accept the resignation of Mr. Robert Johnson, Planning Commission Vice Chair, <br /> and direct staff to begin the recruitment process to fill Mr. Johnson's seat. <br />2. Accept the resignation of Ms. Deborah Shepherd, Planning Commission member, <br /> and direct staff to begin the recruitment process to fill Ms. Shepherd's seat. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to ratify the <br />recommendation in Case No. 1 to adopt Resolution #06-03-084 to accept the resignation of Mr. <br />Robert Johnson, Planning Commission Vice Chair, and direct staff to begin the recruitment <br />process to fill Mr. Johnson's seat, and to accept the resignation of Ms. Deborah Shepherd, <br />Planning Commission member, and direct staff to begin the recruitment process to fill Ms. <br />Shepherd's seat. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Mayor Gamec directed staff to be certain that Mr. Johnson and Ms. <br />Shepherd are invited to the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
