I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Councilman Reimann, who servesonthe Quad City Communication <br />Commission, informed the Ramsey City Council several meetinl~s ago that the subject <br />would be requesting funding in the amount of $10,000 from each of the member cities <br />because their budget had a deficit. However, he explained that Group W Cable would <br />then reimburse each city as per franchise; and <br /> W~tI~REAS, the Quad Cities Cable Commission has submitted a letter dated <br />June Z9, 1984 to each of the four cities requesting a contribution of $10,000 in <br />accordance with Article ll, Section l, Subparagraph Z of the franchise; and <br /> WHEREAS~ City of Ramsey Resolution #84- which adjusted the 1984 City <br /> Budget does provide for this funding in the adjusted City Budget for 1984. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY cOUNCIL OF THE ~rl'Y OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY~ STATE OF MINNESOTA~ as follows: <br /> 1) The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City of Ramsey to make <br /> a temporary contribution to the Quad Cities Communications Commission in the <br /> amount of $10,000 in accordance with Article ll, Section l, Subparagraph Z of the <br /> franchise to cover budget operating deficit. <br /> Z) It is requested that the City Accounting Department issue a check in the <br /> amount of $10,000 to the Quad Cities Cable Communications Commission. <br /> 3) It is further requested that a statement be submitted to Group W Cable <br /> for repayment of the stated funds. (This statement is to be mailed to Mr. Terry <br /> O'Counell, Cable Franchise AdministratOr, Quad Cities Cable Communications <br /> Commission, 2015 - 1st Avenue, Anoka, Minnesota 55303, as he will mail the statement <br /> on to Group W Cable). <br /> <br /> <br />
