The study and report a outlined above shall be prepared at a cost not to exceed <br />$14,500 unless scope changes are made and mutually agreed upon. In the event the <br />City elects to cease the project following Phase I the total amount due to the <br />Engineer would be $2,500. <br /> <br />As water projects are implemented by the City utilizing the Water Study and <br />Report, the Engineer shall apportion the study and report cost as a credit <br />against fees earned for the final plans and specifications for such projects. <br />The basis for the apportionment shall be the area for which such plans and <br />specifications are prepared as a fraction of the total area covered by the study <br />and report. <br /> <br />Payment for the study and final report shall be due and payable within 30 days <br />following the time the report is furnished to the City, or in no case at a date <br />earlier than September 1, 1981.
