years with minimal maintenance. <br /> <br />For 149th Avenue N.W. which is located between industrial and commercial zoned <br />property, it is proposed to widen the street to a width of 40 feet. This would <br />be in accordance with the City of Ramsey's standard rural industrial street <br />section as shown on Exhibit C. An additional 33 feet of right of way would be <br />required since only 33 feet of right of way exists. Construction of 149th Avenue <br />to a standard industrial street section would require the removal of a metal <br />tank initially intended for an on-site wastewater disposal system. It is proposed <br />that the City make the owner of this tank responsible for its removal. <br /> <br />The proposed construction would not include'any driveway construction with the <br />exception of a one foot apron, which would be provided on all driveways to pro- <br />tect the edge of the pavement. It would be the homeowner's responsibility to <br />extend existing bituminous or concrete driveways to match the street. <br /> <br />Storm Drainage Improvement: <br />To alleviate the occasional drainage problems it is proposed to clean the ditches <br />on Garnet Street North of 151st Avenue and to install culverts at the intersection <br />of 150th Avenue and Garnet Street on Garnet Street between 150th Avenue and 151st <br />Avenue, and at the intersection of Garnet Street and 151st Avenue as shown on <br />Exhibit A. It is also proposed to replace the culverts at the intersection of <br />Kamacite Street and 150th Avenue and on 149th Avenue. In addition to the culvert <br />installation it is proposed to acquire drainage easements for' the runoff as shown <br />on Exhibit A. As previously mentioned, to alleviate the flooding problem along <br />Limontte Street would require storm sewer consruction or pond construction. A <br />public hearing was held on this improvement last spring and the residents were <br />opposed to the improvement. Therefore, it should be noted that Limonite Street <br />will. continue to be subjected to flooding until drainage improvements are construc- <br />ted. <br /> <br />Some existing driveways presently do not have driveway culverts. While not all_ <br />driveways would need a driveWay culvert, those lots which presently may cause <br /> <br /> <br />
