PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />Public Hearing: 8:00 - Cable TV <br />Members Present: Mayor Gamec <br />There was no input from the citizens of Ramsey. <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann <br />to close the public hearing. <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilwoman Van Wagner, <br />Councilman Reimann, Councilman Sorteberg and Councilman Cox. <br />Voting no: None. <br />The Public Hearing for the Cable TV communications franchise proposal <br />was closed at 8:08 p.m. <br />R pectfully submitted, <br />`\ Lyn Clark <br />Recording Secretary <br />for the City of Ramsey <br />April 14 19$1 <br />Public 1 {iear ing <br />Councilwoman Van Wagner <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br />Councilman Cox (late 7:50 p.m.) <br />Also Present City Attorney Goodrich <br />City Building Official Berg <br />. <br />City Administrator Schnelle <br />City Engineer Raatikka <br />A public hearing was held on Tuesday April 14, 1981, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota 55303, at 8:00 p.m., regarding Cable TV. <br />This hearing was called pursuant to the Ramsey City Charter <br />and Section 4.140 (d) (1) of the official rules of the Minnesota <br />\. <br />Cable Communications Board for the purpose of accepting public <br />testimony regarding the porposed adoption by the Ramsey City Council <br />of a Request for Proposals for a cable communications franchise. <br />Mr. Thomas D. Creighton, an attorney with Dunkley and Bennett, <br />came before the Ramsey City Council to discuss the Cable TV <br />communications franchise proposal procedures and to answer <br />• <br />any questions it. He gave a brief explanation of the franchising <br />authority including proaedures for sending request for proposals, <br />selection of a franchise, state needs, appendix forms for evaluation, <br />evaluation process and approximate timetable. <br />There was no input from the citizens of Ramsey. <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann <br />to close the public hearing. <br />Motion carried.
