TO: Mayor ~ud City Council

FROM: City Admlnistrator

RE: Council New Business

Enclosure (D3-a) Documents regarding L & J Sales and Engineering, Inc.

CASE #1:

~PPROVALOF SITEAND DESIGN PLAN; CASE OF L & J sALES_~__~
~, INC. 141 5 RA~EY BLVD. N.W. :
L & J Sales and Engineering wsnts to open a retail sales
(clothing and hardware-items) and manufacturing (electrical
and computer component items) in the facilities that are
located at 14165 Ramsey Blvd. Consequently according to
our site and design plan resolution he has to come before
Council to get approval.
Accordingly, enclosure (D3-a) contains the following docu-
ments for your review in acting on this case:

a) Layout of how L & J sales and Engineering plan to use
the existing structure.

b) Layout showinghow they will handle the surfacing of
the parking area and how they plan to dress up the facility.
The following comments are sub~mitted in regards to this
layout:
l) The plan shows two entrances to the facility and
I have informed them that Council may want to delete
the entrance way closest to the railroad tracks (west
side).
2) The plan shows how he plans to surface his parking
area. We require asphalt surfacing but if we require
a development agreement that should suffice in holding
them ts what they say they will do.
3) They don't plan on dressing up the building until
they have everything in operation.
c) Proposed development agreement for your review.
Council Action: Your action will be to approve/disapprove/
~end the proposed agreement.
