Attorney Goodrich commented he met withAnoka County to discuss the landfill sites. Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to authorize Councilman Cox to represent the City Council in the landfill site selection while meeting on April 29th and that the position that Councilman Cox should represent at the hearing is that the City wants to have the final say as to any site chosen within'' the City of Ramsey, whether or not it does in fact become a landfill. Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Oamec, Councilman Reimann, Council- m~n Sortebeng, Councilman Cox. Voting no: Councilwoman VanWagner Councilwoman Van Wagner stated she wants to comment at that meeting as a citizen and not a Coancilperson. CASE #9 TAX INCRemENT FINANCING: The Council noted receipt of a memo from the League of Cities requesting assistance f~om its members to save tax increment financing.. It seems as though some legislators are bound and determined to do away with this type of Commercial and Industrial development in communities. However, it used to be one of the finest pieces of legislation to develop your commuuity with out of federal or state grant funds. CASE #10 PETITION FOR STREET IMPROV~MENT FOR URANIMITE STREET N.W., 150TH LANE N.W., 151STAVENUE N.W., 151ST LANE N.W. , 152ND STREET N.W. AND t52ND LANE N.W.: Motion by Councilwoman.VanWagner and seconded by Councilman Reimann to adopt Resolution No. 81- 32 . Declaring Adequacy of Petition and Calling for Feasibility Stu~.---~--See Resolution file for resolution no. 81' 32'). Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilwoman Van Wagner, Councilman Reimann, Councilman Sorteberg and'Councilman Cox. Voting no: None. CASE #11 PETITION FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT FOR 152ND AVENUE N.W., 151ST AVENUE N.W. AND FL0URINE STREET N.W.: Motion by Councilwoman VanWagner and seconded by Councilnm-n Reinmann to adopt Resolution No. 81- 33 · Declaring Adequacy of Petition and Calling for Feasibility Study. (See Resolution file for resolution no. 81'' 33' ). Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, councilwoman Van wagner, counci]3nan Reimann, Councilman Sorteberg and Councilman Cox. Voting no: None. Councilman Reimann discussed several bills at this time. Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman S0rteberg to authorize payment of bills; CounciLman Reims_un to check on the questionable ones with respective department heads; and clarification on the March 24, 1981 grass fire billing.
