Solid Waste. <br /> <br />The Plan should be amended to address the planning <br />requirements of the Waste Management Act, MS 473.811, <br />Subd. 5, which calls for a municipal ordinance <br />.governing the collection ahd disposal of solid waste. <br />This can be accomplished by adopting an appropriate <br />ordinance or, by reference, an applicable county <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />Under the Land Planning Act, the City of Andover has 60 days to <br />appeal the modification(s) being required by the Metropolitan <br />Council in its review of the City's Plan. The deadline for such <br />an appeal is June 8, 1981. If Andover does not appeal the modifi- <br />cation(s), the law requires the adoption of the Plan, wth required' <br />modification, within nine months of the completion of the Metro- <br />polit n Council's review. The Council should be formally advised <br />when the Plan is adopted.
