Motion by Councilmember McGlone, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to table and bring <br />back for further analysis. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Dehen, Councilmembers McGlone and Jeffrey. <br />Voting No: None. <br />Case #2: Consider Resolution Approving 2010 Labor Agreement with LELS-Patrol <br />Deputy City Administrator Nelson reviewed the staff report. <br />Councilmember Jeffrey believed this was a good agreement and he did not see a downside to it. <br />Chairperson Dehen asked why this was not a longer -term agreement. <br />Police Chief Way responded the Patrols were hoping the economy would turn around and more <br />funds would be available next time. He indicated the Patrol realized the difficult economic times <br />at the moment. <br />Councilmember McGlone stated he was pleased there was an Agreement. <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember McGlone, to recommend that <br />the City Council adopt the resolution approving the 2010 LELS-Patrol labor contract. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Dehen, Councilmembers Jeffrey and McGlone. <br />Voting No: None. <br />Case #3: Discuss COPS Hiring Recovery Program Application <br />Police Chief Way reviewed the staff report. <br />The Committee asked various questions about the Program. <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember McGlone, to recommend that <br />the City Council to adopt the resolution Authorizing the Police Department to update the <br />application for a CHRP Grant. <br />Motion carried.
