Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PAID -ON -CALL FIREFIGHTER RECRUITMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Chief, along with the City Administrator, have agreed that a <br />firefighter recruitment is needed in order to bring the City to its full complement of firefighters, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, staff has requested authorization to begin a recruitment process for paid -on - <br />call firefighters; and <br />WHEREAS, funding for these positions are part of the approved 2011 General Fund <br />Budget. Per the Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Nowthen, the City of Ramsey will be <br />reimbursed for a portion of the salaries for these positions. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br />Adopts resolution # 11-04-XXX to authorize a paid -on -call firefighter recruitment. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member, <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 12nd day of April 2011. <br />
