Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # <br />Resolution to Accept the Resignation of the Economic Development and Marketing <br />Manager and to Direct Staff to Prepare a Plan to Address Job Duties Left Vacant <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Aaron Backman, the Economic Development and Marketing <br />Manager submitted a letter of resignation on March 6, 2012; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Backman also serves as the staff liaison to the Economic <br />Development Authority (EDA); and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Backman accepted a position with the city of Windom as the <br />Executive Director of the Economic Development Authority; his last day with the city of <br />Ramsey is March 23, 2012; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends accepting Mr. Backman's resignation and seeks <br />direction to from the City Council for staff to prepare a plan to address the job duties left <br />vacant by the resignation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Accept Mr. Backman's resignation as the Economic Development and Marketing <br />Manager; and <br />2) Direct staff to prepare a plan to address the job duties left vacant by the <br />resignation. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 27th day of March 2012. <br />
