Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #13-08-145 <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE A BUILDING OFFICIAL AND TO CONTINUE <br />WORKINGS WITH THE CITY OF ST. FRANCIS <br />WHEREAS, at the May 28, 2013, City Council meeting, staff was authorized to <br />conduct a recruitment process to fill the Building Official position; and <br />WHEREAS, a recruitment process was conducted and eight candidates were <br />interviewed; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Rick Jarson has been selected as the top candidate for the <br />Building Official position; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has completed the necessary background checks and is <br />recommending that Mr. Rick Jarson be hired as the Building Official at $31.23 per hour, <br />effective on or near September 16, 2013, with a credit of ten vacation days; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends continuing limited services with the City of St. <br />Francis' Chief Building Official, as needed, but not to exceed an average of ten to twelve <br />hours per week. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br />Motion to approve resolution #13-08-145, to hire Mr. Rick Jarson as the City's new <br />Building Official, effective on or near September 16„ 2013, at $31.23 per hour with a <br />credit of ten vacation days and to continue limited services with the City of St. Francis' <br />Chief Building Official, as needed, but not to exceed an average of ten to twelve hours <br />per week. <br />The motion for the adoption of the 'foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 27th day of August, 2013. <br />
