Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #13-08-145 RESOLUTION TO HIRE A BUILDING OFFICIAL AND TO CONTINUE WORKINGS WITH THE CITY OF ST. FRANCIS WHEREAS, at the May 28, 2013, City Council meeting, staff was authorized to conduct a recruitment process to fill the Building Official position; and WHEREAS, a recruitment process was conducted and eight candidates were interviewed; and WHEREAS, Mr. Rick Jarson has been selected as the top candidate for the Building Official position; and WHEREAS, staff has completed the necessary background checks and is recommending that Mr. Rick Jarson be hired as the Building Official at $31.23 per hour, effective on or near September 16, 2013, with a credit of ten vacation days; and WHEREAS, staff recommends continuing limited services with the City of St. Francis' Chief Building Official, as needed, but not to exceed an average of ten to twelve hours per week. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: Motion to approve resolution #13-08-145, to hire Mr. Rick Jarson as the City's new Building Official, effective on or near September 16„ 2013, at $31.23 per hour with a credit of ten vacation days and to continue limited services with the City of St. Francis' Chief Building Official, as needed, but not to exceed an average of ten to twelve hours per week. The motion for the adoption of the 'foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 27th day of August, 2013.
